© 2026 Hinsdale Kitchen Remodeling

A large open kitchen with dark wood cabinets, an island and a wood floor leading to a living room.

A whole kitchen, planned before the first cabinet comes off

Walls, cabinets, counters, lighting and floors, drawn out and priced in writing before any demolition starts.

One plan for the whole room

A full renovation touches everything at once, so the order of work matters more than any single choice. We measure the room, draw the layout and settle the cabinets, surfaces and lighting on paper before we order anything.

Hinsdale houses vary a great deal, from brick Tudors to newer builds with open plans. We look at what the room already does well and change the parts that fight you, whether that is a walkway that is too narrow or an island that blocks the stove.

A good time to call

  • The cabinets are worn and the doors no longer hang straight
  • You walk around the same bottleneck every time you cook
  • The counters, floor and lighting all feel like a different decade
  • You want one contractor to coordinate every trade in the room

How the renovation runs

  1. I

    Measure and listen

We walk the room, measure it and ask how you cook, who uses it and what bothers you.

  2. II

    Draw and decide

A layout, a cabinet plan and a materials list, adjusted until you are happy with them.

  3. III

    Write the scope

Every item, every trade and the schedule on paper, with one price you can read line by line.

  4. IV

    Build and review

Demolition, rough work, finishes and a walk-through with a list of anything left to touch up.

What a renovation includes

  • Design and layout

Measured drawings and a layout you can walk through on paper before it is built.

  • Demolition and rough work

Careful removal, plus the plumbing, electrical and framing changes the plan needs.

  • Cabinets, counters and floors

Ordered once the plan is final, installed level and finished to match.

  • Lighting and final details

Fixtures, hardware and trim, then a final clean and a walk-through with you.

Questions about this work

How long does a full kitchen take?

Most take several weeks of work on site, after the planning and ordering are done. You get a schedule with the written scope.

Can I stay in the house?

Usually yes. We set up a temporary sink and a small cooking spot, and keep dust to the work area.

Do I need permits?

Often, when plumbing, electrical or walls change. We tell you what the village needs and prepare the paperwork.
